Grant Description
On June 8, 2023, the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar signed "The Agreement on the Transfer of Fund for Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Special Fund (2023) Projects." One of these projects was the project "Building Networks on Preservation and Conservation of Literary Heritage," which Myanmar received an unspecified amount of money to implement.
The project's goal is to promote cooperation between LMC countries on protecting literary heritage through conservation.
In July 2023, a seminar was held on disaster preparedness for libraries and the management and preservation of rare books using modern technology.
