Grant Description

On May 8, 2023, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, in partnership with the Science and Technology Wing of the Pakistani Embassy in Beijing, hosted the inaugural annual meeting of the China-Pakistan Joint Laboratory on Wheat Molecular Breeding in Beijing.

As part of the collaboration, a 10-day training course on wheat molecular breeding was conducted for 6 Pakistani wheat scientists.

This training was part of the broader, recently-established, China-Pakistan Joint Lab on Wheat Molecular Breeding initiative.

Through this platform, The Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) in Beijing and Quaid-i-Azam University in Pakistan will collaborate on molecular breeding research.
