From June 26-28, 2023, the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism co-organized a training on Maritime Silk Road Tax Information with China International Development Cooperation Agency.
The training was intended to expose developing countries to digital tax services, and was held at the Quanzhou Municipal Taxation Bureau, the 12366 Service Hotline Center, the Intelligent Tax Service Hall of Fengze District Taxation Bureau, and the Quanzhou Overseas Transportation History Museum. The training was attended by 22 officials from Sri Lanka, Lesotho, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nepal, Mozambique, and Nigeria.
The Maritime Silk Road Tax Information Training was the fifth in a series of seven tax-themed trainings organized by the Belt and Road Initiative Tax Administration Cooperation Mechanism and China International Development Cooperation Agency.
