Grant Description
In April 2023, the Health Commission of Henan sent its 24th medical team to Zambia.
The team consisted of 28 members from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, the Second People's Hospital of Zhengzhou, the Maternal and Child Health Hospital of Zhengzhou, and the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Zhengzhou.
On April 24, 2023, team members attended the reception held by the Chinese Embassy in Zambia. During their time in Zambia, 13 members were stationed in Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital.
While the rest of their stationed hospitals were unspecified, other locations that received previous cohorts include the University of Zambia Teaching Hospital, Livingstone Central Hospital, and Ndola General Hospital. The team completed their one-year duty and returned to China in May 2024. During their tenure, they have received accolade from Chinese Embassy in Zambia and the Zambian government.
