Grant Description

On Feb 28, 2023, the Chinese Embassy in Zambia held a handover ceremony for the donation of 1,800 bags of mealie meal (10kg each) and 300 blankets to Zambia's Office of First Lady.

The donation was made in response to the rains and floods that have affected as many as 66,000 households in 34 regions of Zambia.

The donation was later transferred to Zambia's Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU), which is affiliated to the Office of the Vice President.
