Grant Description
In July–August 2023, the first phase of the China–Indonesia Industrial Workforce Vocational Training Program took place in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, where 290 Indonesian vocational teachers and technical workers received training in AI, robotics, industrial internet, new energy vehicles, intelligent manufacturing, building information modeling, and biomedicine.
From October 16–November 14, 2023, the second phase was held at Shaanxi Industrial Vocational and Technical Institute (SXPI) in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province, training 40 Indonesian teachers and workers in battery production and nickel-iron alloy processing.
In total, 330 Indonesians were trained in 2023 under this program, which is guided by NDRC’s Department of International Cooperation, hosted by NDRC’s International Cooperation Center, and supported by the Beijing Chen Jianghe Public Welfare Foundation.
The program was launched under a November 2022 MoU between NDRC and Indonesia’s Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves).
