Grant Description

On May 19th, 2023, the governor of the Vake District of Tbilisi introduced a draft grant agreement to the Tbilisi City Council for the Chinese Embassy to fund the rehabilitation of a sports field in Tbilisi and construct two fitness complexes in Abkhazia. The agreement was signed by the Chinese Embassy in Georgia and the Tbilisi Municipal Government.

The project was intended to promote cooperation between China and Georgia and promote healthy living.

Then, on November 22, 2023, and inauguration ceremony was held for the renovated sports field in the Vake District of Tbilisi. At the ceremony, it was announced that an open training space was planned to be established at Tskneti Forest Park. No additional information is available about the Tskneti Forest Park training space or the Abkhazia fitness complexes.
