Bank of China and China Construction Bank contribute to USD 670 million syndicated loan for Samawah (Samawa) Naphtha Treating Plant Project, Iraq In 2018, SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation was issued an $800 million commercial (EPC) contract for the Samawah (Samawa) Naphtha Treating Plant Project.

Bank of China and China Construction Bank reportedly agreed – at least in principle – to issue a $670 million syndicated loan to facilitate the implementation of the Samawah (Samawa) Naphtha Treating Plant.

The purpose of the project was to construct a 12,000 barrels per day (BPSD) Naphtha hydrotreating unit in Samawah (Samawa).

SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation was selected as the EPC contractor responsible for project implementation. The project was reportedly underway as of 2018.
