SUMMARY ABSTRACT The co-directors of the Administrative Core (AC) will be Drs. Nicholas Butowski (UCSF) and Roger Stupp (NU), who will share administrative and clinical responsibilities to provide oversight of the procedural and technical aspects of the planned projects and cores, ensuring compliance and scientific integrity of all components of the
grant. They are also the co-PIs of this U19. Dr. Susan Chang will serve as co-investigator of the AC and provide extensive expertise in managing grants. The core leaders are accomplished brain tumor researchers, well qualified to supervise this U19 collaboration and ensure its productivity. Based on executive committee and
internal advisory board recommendations, the core directors will make final decisions on any issues that involve the timely progression of the projects. Further, the core directors they will have overall scientific and financial responsibility for this U19. They will disburse funds and will receive regular accounting of the financial status of
each project. The overall objective of the AC is to promote and facilitate the interactions of the members of this U19, provide necessary clinical research infrastructure and/or support for the projects, and coordinate activities of the U19 investigators. The specific aims of the AC are to provide administrative and clinical services to all our projects in
order to accomplish their Specific Aims and Research Strategies. Administrative support will include fiscal grants management, clerical support for progress reports and manuscript preparation, organization of regular meetings among participants, and organization and administration of the Internal Advisory Board (IAB). The Administrative
Core also facilitates communication with the Network Coordinating Center (NCC) and GTN Steering Committee.
