Grant Description

On October 13, 2023, the awards ceremony for the 2023-2024 Chinese Ambassador's Scholarship for Côte d'Ivoire was held at Alassane Ouattara d'Anyama Modern High School (Lycée Moderne Alassane Outtara d'Anyama) in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire. 170 students from 16 different schools received scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year, worth in total about 24 million West African CFA francs.

The 16 high schools that had students who received scholarships included Sainte Marie de Cocody, Yopougon Young Girls Modern School, Bingerville Modern Boys School, Cocody Modern School, Alassane Ouattara d'Anyama Modern High School, Municipal High School of Attécoubé 1, Cocody Technical High School, Alassane Ouattara de Grand Bassam, the Bingerville Joseph d'Arimathe scholarly group (groupe scholaire de Joseph d'Arimathe de Bingerville), Yamoussoukro Mixed High School 2, Abata de Cocody QGW International High School, Bouaké Young Girls Modern School, Yamoussoukro Kiwi School, Yamoussoukra KL Djedjri School, and Yamoussoukro Kokrenou Primary School.

Many of the students participated in Chinese clubs at their school. The Ambassador's Scholarship was established in 2019.
