Grant Description

BOC contributions to USD 177 million dual-tranche syndicated loan to Total Access Communication On November 18 2005, a syndicate of lenders — including the Bank of Chine (BOC) — signed a 177 million USD-equivalent multicurrency term loan agreement with Total Access Communication. This syndicated loan was split into two tranches.

BOC contributed to the two-year Bt 4 billion tranche. Bank of China joined as a co-arranger with Bt 200 million.

In addition to BOC, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi committed Bt 1 billion and acted as the mandated lead arranger; Mizuho Corporate Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp each provided Bt 800 million; and BNP Paribas and Calyon held Bt 600 million apiece.

Not recorded in this project but worth noting, the yen 9.515 billion seven-year portion was increased from yen 8.7 billion.

Mandated arrangers BNP Paribas gave yen 1.265 billion, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp took yen 1.5 billion and Calyon lent yen 1.15 billion.

Arrangers Royal Bank of Scotland pledged yen 1.5 billion, while Export Development Canada and Rabobank International each absorbed yen 1.15 billion. Co-arrangers Hua Nan Commercial Bank, Maybank and United Taiwan Bank held yen 600 million apiece.
