Grant Description
On August 1, 2019, a handover ceremony was held for a remote consultation platform and related equipment donated by West China Hospital to the Maputo Central Hospital in Mozambique.
The equipment was used to establish a remote consultation platform in Mozambique while making use of West China Hospital's existing telehealth network. The remote consultation platform was intended to promote cooperation in medicine, education, and research.
West China Hospital previously provided a remote consultation platform and the required equipment to several hospitals in Sao Tome and Principe (captured in Record ID#85764 and #56399).
The combined value of the donations to Mozambique and Sao Tome and Principe is USD 48,000; the value of the goods donated to Maputo Central Hospital is unclear.
