On November 26, 2022, Chinese ambassador Ma Fulin attended the inauguration of a modern borehole that was funded by the Embassy at the Sino-Congolese Friendship School (l'École de l'amitié sino-congolaise). The borehole is 180 meters deep with a total capacity of 5.5 KVA.
The drilling site is comprised of two reservoirs that are both 3 meters cubed (or 6 meters cubed total), a 170 meter imaged pump, and a storage structure built of reinforced concrete that is placed above. The company Energie Électrique du Congo provides electricity for the site.
The goal of constructing the drilling site was to improve learning conditions at the school by producing potable water that is up to WHO standards. The school and drilling site are located in Massengo, Brazzaville.
At the end of the ceremony, Ambassador Ma also donated 20 balls to the school to help ensure sports and physical education remained accessible to the students at the school. The monetary value of the borehole and the 20 balls are unknown.
