Grant Description
On May 29, 2023, the Chinese and Somalian governments jointly donated a grant of food and medical supplies to the Abdiaziz Orphanage and other orphanages in Mogadishu as part of the "China-Africa Cooperation to Warm Children's Hearts" Somalia Station event held by the Chinese Embassy in Somalia and the Somali First Lady Foundation.
The supplies donated included sugar, oil, spaghetti, rice, wheat, and medical supplies.
The "China-Africa Hand in Hand Warm Children's Hearts" activity was started by Professor Peng Liyuan, China's First Lady and the Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD/OPDAD) to care for the health of African orphans.
