On September 25, 2022, the provincial government of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region donated RMB 2,700,000 to the Government of Pakistan through the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries to support flood relief efforts in the country. It is unclear whether the donation comprised funds, supplies, or a combination.

This donation was part of a larger effort by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) to mobilize relief to Pakistan.

In total, the donation consisted of a total of 10.3724 million yuan in donations and about 114 million yuan in disaster relief materials, with a total value of 125 million yuan, showing the support and contribution of 18 pairs of friendly cities, 24 friendly organizations and local friendship associations, 13 companies and hundreds of caring people from 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

Among them, 15 local friendship associations raised a total of 26.66 million yuan in donations and materials; 9 social organizations and institutions raised a total of 23.794 million yuan in donations and materials; and 13 caring companies donated a total of 86.1 million yuan in donations and materials.
