Grant Description

On July 18, the departure ceremony of the 21st medical team from China (Qinghai) to Burundi was held at Qinghai Provincial People's Hospital. The 29 team members will complete a one-year foreign aid medical mission in Burundi. The medical team was sent out by hospitals in Qinghai province (青海), China.

According to the Burundi Press Agency, the medical team performed 1,747 operations and treated 8,439 patients while in Burundi.

The 21st batch of medical team members arrived in Burundi in late July and will work in three hospitals, including Gitega Hospital, to contribute to the development of public health in Burundi.
