On November 30, 2022, a meeting occurred between the Liberia National Bar Association (LNBA) president Cllr. Sylvester D.
Rennie and Chinese Ambassador in Liberia Ren Yisheng to express their joint commitment to enhancing Liberia's legal system. Further details were released on December 6th, by LNBA National Secretary General Cllr. Bornor M. Varmah, highlighting the agreement between All China Lawyer Association (ACLA) and LNBA.
The agreement includes the facilitation of visits and training opportunities in China for members of the LNBA leadership to strengthen capacity building, reform the rule of law sector, and support the fight against corruption, to build a more complete legal system in Liberia.
The agreement is seen as an ongoing effort to enhance Liberia’s Rule of Law program as Liberia strides to improve its democratic credentials.
