Grant Description
On October 16, 2023, the Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU)'s Innovation Center in Uzbekistan was officially established at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies in Uzbekistan.
Wang Shuguo, president of XJTU, and Makhkamov Bakhtiyor Shukhratovich, rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, signed a memorandum of cooperation and jointly unveiled the innovation center.
The goal of the Innovation Center according to XJTU is to "promote the spirit of the Silk Road and implement the outcomes of the China-Central Asia Summit." Then, on January 22nd, 2024, during the China-Uzbekistan Hundred Schools Cooperation Forum in Beijing, Xi'an Jiaotong University signed a cooperation agreements with Tashkent University of Information Technology on developing the IT field around the XJTU Innovation Center.
