Grant Description

Project summary/Abstract We will deploy an automated multiplexed live-cell assay to detect and quantify agonist and inverse-agonist activities against 55 GPCRs known to be upregulated or downregulated in human gliomas.

The assay will be used to look for the secretion of effectors for any of the 55 receptors by 48 established glioma cell lines of the Human Glioblastoma Cell Culture Resource.

This endeavor may yield new leads towards the development of anti-tumor therapeutics, and will provide a platform for detecting such leads in resected tumor tissue and in chemical or biologic libraries in future experiments.
