Grant Description

Anathem provides AI for mental health clinicians, listening to patient-clinician interactions and completing administrative tasks such as notes, letters and coding. Our team of scientists, engineers and clinicians have been pioneering 'contextual AI'. This means our system handles the deeply nuanced interactions that happen in high stakes environments such as mental health consultations.

Since 2019 there has been a 5x increase in referrals for Autism assessments. The waiting list, currently at 172k with a 2.5-year median wait, is growing by 47% a year with demand outstripping capacity. Anathem is a solution that significantly improves productivity of assessments, nearly doubling the patients per day seen. By working across the pathway end to end, patient experience will also be drastically improved.

The aim of the project is to research, develop, test, train staff and evidence the effectiveness of the system, demonstrating a strong business for procurement.
