Unspecified Chinese bank pledges financing to clean water pump from the Kempir-Abad reservoir to Fergana in Uzbekistan In September 2023, the Fergana Regional Government announced that a preliminary agreement had been reached with unspecified Chinese banks to fund a water pipeline from the Kampir-Obod reservoir (also transliterated as Kempirabad or Kempir-Abad reservoir, also known as the Andijan reservoir) to Fergana.
