Grant Description

Mirror Stage is an immersive experience that explores the architecture of our past and present to create better buildings for the future.

Architecture has the power to enrich our lives and the planet. However, the cost of bad and boring buildings is having a lasting impact -- not just financially, but also to our own health and environment. With 76% of people saying buildings impact on their mental health, we need to change the conversation for everyone.

Mirror Stage transforms our spaces and cities into virtual portals through which we can explore unbuilt architecture. From paper projects that never came to exist to new proposed projects that are set to transform our current landscape, the experience explores the breadth and ambition of our architecture.

Through immersive storytelling, you'll experience the vision of the architect. It encourages us to look at our past to understand the architecture of the future, inspiring conversations about civic ownership, radical design and social impact. Mirror Stage brings to life the unbuilt architecture of both our past and present to shape a better future for us all.

Our present mirrors the past and the mirror foretells augurs and predicts and so makes the world.
