The Bio-HhOST project (bio-hybrid hierarchical organoid-synthetic tissue) deals with the creation of bio-hybrid materials that comprise living & artificial cells, in dynamic communication, such that artificial cells may influence the proliferation, differentiation and function of living cells. In this way the project fits perfectly into the EIC Engineered Living Materials (ELMs) Initiative.
This makes Bio-HhOST the ideal candidate to engage with the ELMs portfolio reinforcing its coordination and management through the collaboration in reaching the EMLs portfolio objectives by an active involvement in its main governing body and Working Groups.
Bio-HhOST will also help re-evaluate and update the objectives of the Portfolio by widening the fields of bio-printing, organoid development and tumor targeted therapies.
