Grant Description

'Milk and Honey' (MH) micro live-work pod is a new product in the architecture and construction industry. A one of kind living pod, that is designed to address prevailing homelessness in the UK. These pods are manufactured using the innovative 3D printed technology in a modular system.

They are designed to high standards. They are robust, sustainable and will be run-efficiently. What makes these pods standard out is the dual function attached to them. The pods will be a haven for a previously homeless and unemployed individuals and will function as a business enterprise. The MH re-establishes human life and dignity, self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship.

In comparison to traditional building methods, MH is cost effective and fast to produce. The design of each MH is sleek and aesthetically pleasing. The internal space is open plan, airy and biophilic.

Like most buildings in the country, MH can be sited in any landed location. MH will be excellent for small micro-sites that cannot viably accommodate the space standards of most UK homes. On completion, each 'Milk and Honey' pod will be immediately ready for occupation.
