Ore Energy is a climate tech company, developing ultra-cheap long-duration energy storage systems, based on very abundant materials: iron, water and air.
Born at TU Delft, our technology is fully patent protected and has won multiple awards, e.g., SPRIN-D Long-Duration Energy Storage Challenge, NWO Faculty of Impact, Thematic Technology Transfer, etc.
After several years of multidisciplinary research, we have overcome the bottlenecks that have blocked for decades the commercial development of iron-air flow batteries. The result is amazing.
Compared to other state-of-the-art electrochemical storage systems such as Li-ion batteries, our batteries can supply energy for days instead of just a few hours at an unbeatable cost. They are totally free of critical raw materials and their materials are easily recyclable. Plus, the technology is completely safe without any risk of fire.
Besides, they are also the only truly scalable batteries.
Thanks to the non-critical raw material usage and employing streamlined manufacturing methods, we can easily scale their production without risks of supply chain outages or volatile prices.
In addition, thanks to their fully modular plug-and-play architecture packaged in a container, our batteries can be deployed anywhere and at any scale.
Our ambition is to close the technological gap that continues to hold back the massive deployment of renewables to accelerate the EU's energy transition and at the same time increase the European's competitiveness while guaranteeing its energy sovereignty.
