Grant Description

The FBD-SD project aims to support the UK's creative industrial sectors, from fashion interior to furniture design, by empowering SME enterprises with the digital tools and knowledge bases for implementing human-centred design and sustainable innovation using the Fashion Big Data (FBD) platform, developed from the EU H2020 project FBD\_BModel, Grant ID: 761122\.

FBD-SD focuses on enabling SMEs to achieve sustainable, human-centred design to address critical challenges of high environmental impact and consumers' unsatisfaction. The project will develop resources and programmes such as workshops, seminars, and courses to train designers and SMEs to design and produce functional and sustainable products with accessing material databases, design libraries and workflow templates, product digital passports, and real-time sales and consumer feedback.

New industry standards will be developed through BSI/CEN/ISO/IEC to promote eco-friendly design practices towards a sustainable fashion industry.
