Grant Description

The ATLAS project aims at developing the first service of Space Safety.

Based on a network of 7 radars deployed around the world with a new design for scanning and tracking, capable to detect debris down to centimetric size, and through fusing data from its network and other sources, Look Up Space aims at extending the lifetime of satellites through collision avoidance and decreased number of collision avoidance manoeuvres of satellites.

This service will be applicable to small satellite fleets as well as to whole satellite constellations.

This will provide the EU with the first sovereign solution for space safety, dedicated to coordinating all stakeholders and automatising processes.
