Grant Description

On January 10, 2022, during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Sri Lanka, the Chinese Government and the Government of Sri Lanka signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA).

Under the terms of the ECTA, the Chinese Government committed RMB 800 million of grant funding to the Government of Sri Lanka for unspecified purposes.
