This project will explore the commercial feasibility of the first continuous stirred tank reactor solution for the synthetic replication and optimisation of complex enzymatic pathways. Our technology provides an urgently needed alternative for bioengineered organisms.
Where normally raw materials of varying quality, competition between intermediates, toxicity, complex networks of feedback loops and other poorly understood factors limit production rates, our approach can be used to converge effectively to optimised biochemistry .As part of the project, we will establish two industrially relevant pathways, advance the software solution of our platform and develop a commercialisation strategy.
