Grant Description

Around May 29, 2022, an agreement was formalized by China’s Foreign Minister and State Councilor, Mr Wang Yi in which Dongguan City of Guangdong Province in the People’s Republic of China would donate 30 tractors to Tonga. On June 10th, 2022, Tonga received this donation at a handover event held at the Small Industries area in Ma’ufanga.

The donation was made to assist in the rebuilding of Tonga following the natural disasters in January.
