POCA audio's mission is to tackle the throwaway culture in consumer electronics. We are addressing the issue of short-lived and unrepairable products that are creating mountains of electronic waste and continue to deplete our scarce resources through a lack of distinct innovation. With a quality-over-quantity approach to tech. Our goal is to become a challenger brand that fuels people's passions and adventures while pushing the boundaries of what sustainable technology can do.
We are focusing on portable speakers because this category is one of the worst performing regarding electronic waste. Speakers are often made using almost all plastic parts and are completely sealed with glue making it difficult to pull them apart to be ethically disposed of. We are bringing to market _OAK_, a UK-made speaker designed for long life, that uses sustainable materials and has a _KIT_ of accessories for adaptability to any environment.
For the first time, consumers will have the choice of a fully sustainable and serviceable portable speaker. _OAK_ will be an audio powerhouse, with Bluetooth 5.2, designed to be durable, fully waterproof (IP67), drop proof and UV resistant. _OAK_ will last at least twice as long as the average portable speaker today.
We are also developing the _KIT_, a set of accessories that allow our speakers to be used in different environments, rather than buying more speakers for different uses. The _KIT_ is made of: _PEG, CORD and MAG BASE,_ they will elevate your sound so you can safely use your speaker truly anywhere. It allows you to easily and safely use the speaker where other speakers wouldn't reach and they are made of high-quality sustainable materials, like aluminium, ocean waste plastic, regrind silicone and natural cork, sourced from UK suppliers.
We plan to further innovate by allowing consumers to replace or repair the components themselves, send them back to us for repair, or use a UK-based service centre. We are creating innovative, sustainably made products that show that sustainability and high performance can go hand in hand.
