On April 8, 2022, the Chinese Government provided a 4th batch of COVID-19 vaccines to Vietnam. The purpose of this donation was to improve COVID-19 response efforts in Vietnam.
The delivery of these supplies was made in two batches with the first one comprising 3 million vaccine doses and 3.3 million syringes, and the second one comprising 500,000 vaccine doses along with 550,400 syringes. The Guangxi Autonomous Region was responsible for delivery of the medical supplies. A virtual handover ceremony was held for this donation.
Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Health, Tran Van Thuan, and Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, Qian Keming, attended the ceremony.
