Connected Intelligent Infrastructure Monitoring (CiiM)

Development of a Lidar-based monitoring system to understand how roads and the surroundings are being used by various modes of transport and pedestrians. The information generated will be available in real-time, available for use by traffic monitoring and control systems, V2I (Vehicle to infrastructure communication), and stored for usage and road safety analysis.

The system is easily installed on existing road infrastructures such as lamp posts or buildings. Its efficiency of deployment and maintenance will reduce costs and traffic congestion that's caused when existing systems such as inductive loops installed under the road surface require maintenance.

The system does not use imagery data and is fully GDPR compliant, working in all weather and lighting conditions to provide robust, accurate data.
