Silicon Technology Advanced Reactor Scale-up (STARS)

Nexeon's 18 month STARS (Silicon Technology Advanced Reactor Scale-up) project to install a larger scale manufacturing facility at its UK headquarters in South Oxfordshire in 2023 is a further step by the company towards establishing large volume production directly aligned to support Gigafactory cell production from a combination of UK and European cell manufacturers and auto OEMs.

The STARS project will provide the capability for Nexeon to support a combination of existing and new customers with larger volumes of advanced silicon anode material for their evaluation and cell qualification programmes, whilst providing valuable learning to staff in the operation of larger scale process reactors.
