Grant Description

On February 28th, 2019, the Tunisian Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, Zied Laadhari, visited China and signed three memoranda of understanding (MOU) with the president of the Board of Directors of the Chinese group Norinco, Wang Yitong.

These memoranda of understanding were related to the implementation of several mega-projects which will be carried out within the framework of the Public/Private Partnership (PPP). According to the TAP agency, including technical and economic feasibility studies for the Nabeul metro project. The metro will connect the three cities of the governorate of Nabeul, namely Nabeul, Hammamet and Kélibia.

A precise date for the start of the work is not yet to be specified as it will be known based on the project studies.

On July 28th, 2019, a working session was held on regarding the continuation of studies for the construction project of a metro line in Nabeul, in the presence of the mayor, several members of the municipal council, and representatives of the Chinese company responsible.
