RegTech software development featuring innovative real-time business change and regulatory environment monitoring to support compliance with Financial Conduct Authority's SMCR Regulatory Framework

Since December 2019, all Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)-regulated financial services/markets (~83.5k UK businesses/225k individuals) must comply with the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR) in an effort to improve sector integrity through increased business and individual accountability.

Business intelligence indicates many businesses are struggling to implement the regulations effectively and to maintain compliance. This was confirmed in April 21, when FCA notified ~3,000 businesses that they had not yet submitted the necessary certifications and that enforcement action would ensue (FTAdviser\_26/04/21).

The greatest identified difficulty is in businesses complying culturally, with the administrative certification/ evidencing burden being a secondary concern.

We propose to develop our existing software solution (PeopleClear SMCR), which already encourages best business practice to support FCA-objectives, to include an **innovative, first-in-class "Insights Engine" to constantly monitor the** **evolving business and regulatory environment and recommend appropriate actions to maintain SMCR-compliance in real-time.**
