Grant Description

On November 28, 2022, a departure ceremony was held for China’s 195th medical aid team to Morocco. The team consisted of 50 medical staff and departed for Morocco in early December 2022.

While in Morocco, the team provided Shanghai-style traditional Chinese medicine, offered medical services in public hospitals, and made significant contributions to post-earthquake rescue efforts. This project is part of a series of ongoing medical missions to Morocco that China has undertaken since 1975.

These missions are part of the implementation of the China-Africa Public Health Cooperation Plan. As of September, 2023, a reported total of 1,944 Chinese medical personnel have been sent to aid people across Morocco.
