Grant Description

The program supports key priorities of the Department of State and U.S.

Agency for International Development Joint Strategic Plan, including Objective 2.2, stating "foster transparency in environmental governance in partner countries.. (and) help partnet countires make investments in their own development agenda." Additionally, improving international monitoring, reporting, and verification systems in developing countries strengthens their capacity to report on emissions from deforestation, access payment for performance systems, and deploy good governance.
