R4DAR Technologies has developed a prototype CAVTAG beacon identifier that can be read by automotive radar to provide localised high-fidelity location, classification, and identification data that will be essential for enhanced navigation and collision avoidance in hazardous road and weather conditions.
Following our recent participation in the prestigious US PlugandPlay (PnP) Mobility Accelerator programme, we have had a significant worldwide interest in our novel technology which has resulted in parallel opportunities in the USA and Taiwan.
During this study, we will assess the market opportunities and build international partnerships and a business case for the trial, deployment, and scale of our low-cost CAVTAG beacon technology into the US and Asian automotive and smart city markets.
The R4DAR innovation has the potential to be exploited in a diverse number of markets. Whether it be the safe identification of vulnerable road users such as bicycles, roadworkers, or e-scooters, the resilient operation of highly autonomous vehicles, intelligent GDPR compliant asset tracking in complex environments, or the provision of resilient automated navigation and surveillance capabilities for drones providing critical logistic activities.
R4DAR forecasts that the global market size for the CAVTAG technology to be >10B by 2030. All new vehicles will be equipped with automatic emergency braking (AEB) radar from 2022, our CAVTAG technology will enhance these radars to not just detect the presence of a potential hazard but also classify and uniquely identify that hazard.
