Grant Description

On August 17th, 2022, China and Malawi signed exchanges of letters for three cooperation projects: a feasibility study for a judiciary complex (see Record ID#100130), duty free treatment of exports from Malawi, and maintenance of parliament building (see Record ID#100131). Both projects will be funded using a grant.

The Speaker of Parliament, Catherine Gotani Hara, MP, said the grant will go a long way to rectify some challenges Parliament was experiencing with the maintenance of the building.
