Grant Description

We are developing a Virtual Reality - Fire Safety Training Simulation that will be used as a practical component of our face to face training courses and also by our clients using their own VR hardware.

Developed by expert Fire Fighters, this training simulation will enable learners to experience what it actually takes to control and extinguish fires in their workplace, in the most accurate and true to life interactive experience available.

Trainees have the ability to apply their knowledge of which fire extinguishers should be used for different types of fires and experience the consequences of making incorrect selections, as the fire behaves in the same way as it does in real life. This includes, reacting dynamically to a range of inputs, from oxygen and fuel materials, to different types of extinguishers, immersing trainees in true to life fire situations.

Detailed management information reports are automatically compiled, evidencing trainee's performance against assessment criteria and other intelligent metrics, such as eye gaze data.

Organisations will also have the ability to customise the virtual environment to accurately represent their premises, enabling their trainees to carry out fire safety training in a simulation of their own work environment.
