Project ESIPP-OTFT based e-skin for robots in picking and packaging of agriculture produce

Robotics is an exciting developing field because intelligent robots can not only perform hazardous tasks but also help out with laborious mundane tasks such as picking and packaging of items. COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of robotics and automation technologies worldwide especially in agriculture sector.

NeuDrive Ltd will use its patented propriety technology to develop electronic skin with real-time tactile sensors. The project will integrate the expertise of NeuDrive's technology of active-matrix for touch screen on flexible and conformal surfaces with pressure sensing component to make tactile sensitive artificial skins (e-skins) for robots.This will significantly improve performance of robotics for applications ranging from an industrial robot to future humanoids.
