The purpose of the FIB-GREEN project is to evaluate whether hydrothermal carbonization in combination with wet oxidation of the separated water can be used to convert contaminated fiber material from fiber banks to hydrocoal in an efficient and safe way.
The project is led by researchers at the Swedish University of Agriculture and run in collaboration with an entrepreneur and researchers at Uppsala University. The project is a preliminary study and is planned to last for one year, between 2022 and 2023.
