Grant Description

The project aims to develop a new bio-based carbon to purify water from PFAS with higher efficiency and as a replacement for the fossil-based carbon used today.

The technology will be tested on PFAS-contaminated surface and groundwater from an airport and the hope is to produce a sustainable and cost-effective purification method for PFAS-contaminated water.
