Grant Description

The project is a full-scale study which is based on a previously completed feasibility study that was granted funding from Tuffo in 2018.

The goal of the study is to launch the practical use of search dogs to rationalize the detection of the pollutants DDT at forest nurseries/commercial gardens and tri/perchlorethylene (TCE/PCE) at disused dry cleaner businesses.

In addition, the project will also study the potential of search dogs to detect selected PFAS contaminants in a laboratory environment.
