Grant Description

Strengthen the capacity of criminal justice institutions, including judiciary and law enforcement bodies; enhance Lao criminal justice mechanisms and law enforcement.

The project will propose amendments to Lao criminal law provisions and will train criminal justice practitioners and law enforcement officials. This is an extension of current funding from Canada, Norway, Sweden; the project started in October 2006.
