The Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) will undertake a study across five global regions (South Asia, Southeast Asia, Southeastern Europe, Latin America, and Africa) to determine 1) the youngest and average ages at which children across these regions become sexually exploited for commercial purposes; and 2) mechanisms and vulnerabilities by which children across these regions are victimized in this form of human trafficking.
The findings from this project will serve to inform law enforcement policies and procedures regarding the identification, investigation, and prosecution of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) as well as how to prevent this crime.
